One of the most significant spheres of mutual interests of the two states, recognized as the world energy powers, is the oil and gas industry, the development of which is of particular importance, taking into account the huge resource potential.
The possibilities of implementing joint projects and long-term cooperation on an economically beneficial basis for the both parties were discussed during the meeting.
Presenting the activity of PJSC Lukoil on the development of hydrocarbon deposits in the Caspian Sea to the President of Turkmenistan, the businessman underlined that the favorable investment climate and reliable legal framework created in Turkmenistan helped attracting foreign business investments in the development of oil and gas fields, and the construction of related infrastructure.
Expressing the interest in participating in large-scale transformation programmes, successfully implemented in our country, Vagit Alekperov underlined the willingness of his company to share the experience, accumulated in increasing the capacities of the mining and processing segment, developing the gas and petrochemical industry, producing high-tech products of great demand the global market with Turkmenistan.
