On January 25, 2023, at the Ashgabat International Airport, the «Turkmenhowayollary» agency held an official meeting with the country representative of the UNODC Office in Turkmenistan, Mr. Rustam Babayev, the representative of the US Agency for International Development in Turkmenistan, Ms. Nino Nadiradze, the country coordinator of the USAID «Safe Migration project in Central Asia» in Turkmenistan by Ms. Shemshat Mukhammetkulieva and a representative of the UNOCT office, Ms. Karina Timsina.

During the meeting, proposals were put forward for cooperation in the development of a program to ensure transport security and methods of combating terrorism. Also, within the framework of the event, trainings on combating human trafficking were organized for airport personnel.

Based on the results of the negotiations, the UN country organizations proposed to further organize training courses and trainings for airport personnel and ATS (Aviation Training School) teachers.
